LHJH | SERVSAFE FOOD HANDLERS Lake Hamilton Junior High 9th grade students in Lisa Stanley's Family and Consumer Science classes recently took the ServeSafe Food Handlers course. The ServSafe Food Handler Program is a complete solution that delivers consistent food safety training by the National Restaurant Association. 58 students passed the exam and received their ServSafe Certification. #LHWolfNation

LADY WOLF PACK BASKETBALL CAMP The Lake Hamilton Lady Wolves basketball coaches and athletes recently hosted the Girls Wolf Pack Basketball Camp. Students in grades 1st - 9th participated in the camp. #LHWolfNation

UPDATED QUARANTINE GUIDELINES Governor Asa Hutchinson announced a change in quarantine policy for schools as Arkansas prepares for school next year.  "I am pleased to announce that if you are in school and you have been fully vaccinated then there will be no quarantine required if you are exposed to COVID-19.  This is very important for our parents and our students.  It means that you can continue in school and you can continue with your extracurricular activities, and this applies also to higher education in terms of their contact tracing." Governor Hutchinson said.  #LHWolfNation

BASEBALL WRAP UP The Lake Hamilton High School baseball team finished their season with an overall record of 18-8 and 9-5 in conference play. The team earned a bid to the state tournament as the 4 seed in the South. The team lost in the first round of the state tournament to Van Buren, the 1 seed from the West, who later won the 5A State Baseball Championship. Big things are in store for the Baseball Wolves! Congratulations on a successful season! #LHWolfNation

LHMS | SCIENCE GRANT Lynn Strong, a science teacher at Lake Hamilton Middle School, was recently awarded a $6,000 grant from the USDA Future Scientists Program. $3,000 of the grant is to be spent on Strong's classroom with the remaining $3,000 on the creation of a butterfly garden to be used as an outdoor classroom at the middle school. The construction of the butterfly garden / outdoor classroom is already underway. Greg Mundy's high school construction fundamentals class is responsible for completing a materials list and designing/building the garden boxes. #LHWolfNation
