Sarahi, nominated by Ms. Ward, stepped up to help a new student interpreting and translating to Spanish, and helped her finding different locations in the building.
Caleb, nominated by Ms. Hrvatin, has emerged as a leader in her WIN class. He sets a great example for others by maintaining a positive attitude and good work ethic.
Students are nominated by their teachers every week for their remarkable actions as leaders, role models, volunteers; their kindness, and their sense of community.

CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the Lake Hamilton High School boys and girls cross country teams for winning the 5A South Conference Championship! This is the 21st consecutive conference title for the boys and the 2nd consecutive conference title for the girls! Go Running Wolves!

1ST DIVISION RATINGS
The Lake Hamilton High School Power Band competed this past weekend at the Four States Marching Invitational in Texarkana.
The band earned first division ratings in band, percussion, and color guard. Additionally, the group was named Outstanding Percussion of the Day, Outstanding Color Guard of the Day, and named the 2020 Four States Invitational Grand Champions. Congratulations!

FLEXIBLE FRIDAY TOMORROW FOR 4 - 12TH GRADE
Tomorrow (Friday, October 30) is the first Flexible Friday for 4 - 12th grade students. K - 3rd grade students will continue to follow their normal schedule.

Is your 4 - 12th grade student choosing to learn from home on Flexible Fridays? If so - take advantage of the "no cost" student meal option each week! Any student not attending onsite during Flexible Fridays can pick up meals on Thursdays between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. behind the high school cafeteria.

CALLING ALL VIRTUAL STUDENTS AND FAMILIES
The Wolf Pack Reading Den will be available at three different locations on Tuesday, November 3 for Lake Hamilton Virtual Academy students and families. Wolf Pack Reading Den staff will be on board to allow virtual students the opportunity to check out books and to assist with any technology related questions. Here's the times and locations for Tuesday, November 3:
8:45 - 9:10 a.m. Pearcy Baptist Church Parking Lot (9585 Airport Road)
9:25 - 10:20 a.m. Corner of Marion Anderson and Airport Road
10:35 - 11:15 a.m. Harps Parking Lot (146 Thornton Ferry Road)
The following safety precautions will be followed:
1. Temperatures will be taken before being allowed on the bus.
2. One family at a time will be allowed on the bus.
3. All persons must sanitize their hands before entering the bus.
4. Face-coverings are required.

FLEXIBLE FRIDAYS BEGIN OCTOBER 30
The Lake Hamilton School District will begin offering “Flexible Fridays” to 4 - 12th grade students on Fridays of each week beginning Friday, October 30, 2020, until the end of the semester. All 4 - 12th grade students will have the option to attend school onsite or online on Flexible Fridays.
K - 3rd grade students will continue their normal schedule and will not participate in Flexible Fridays.

BAND REGION 2 ASSESSMENT
The Lake Hamilton High School Power Band of Arkansas performed Tuesday at Wolf Stadium for their Region 2 Assessment.
For assessment this year, a team of three state adjudicators traveled to Lake Hamilton.
For the 23rd consecutive year, Lake Hamilton earned 1st division ratings from each of the three judges, and qualified for the Arkansas State Marching Band Championship on November 2nd at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

The Lake Hamilton High School Power Band of Arkansas competed in the Paragould Marking Invitational this past weekend and brought home numerous awards:
1st Division Ratings in Band, Percussion, and Color Guard

FLU SHOT CLINIC REMINDER
In coordination with the Arkansas Department of Health, Lake Hamilton School District will host a mass flu clinic for students only on the following dates:
October 21: Â Intermediate (4 - 5th grade), Middle (6 - 7th grade), ALE/PBS
October 22: Â Junior High (8 - 9th grade) and High School (10 - 12th grade)
October 23: Primary (Pre-K - 1st grade) and Elementary (2 - 3rd grade)

No flu mist is available.
PreK and Primary parents must accompany their child to the LH Arena for their flu vaccination.
PRE-K  & PRIMARY SCHOOL PARENTS: Please keep your child’s forms with you to take to high school.  Do not return forms to Primary School.
Elementary, Intermediate, Middle, Jr, and High Schools. Â All forms must be completed for students to be immunized at this clinic. Please complete, sign, and return ALL forms by the day of the flu clinic to your child's school. Â Students without ALL completed forms will not be allowed to participate.
Arkansas Department of Health will not host a community-wide clinic. However, they do offer the flu vaccination at the local Garland County Health Unit for adults and children Monday—Friday on a walk-in basis.
