The Lending Library, located in front of the Primary School, has been restocked with new books just in time for summer reading! Stop by any time and pick up a book or two to read at home. Return them when you are done and grab some more!

MEASURING INSECTS
Kindergarten students in Ms. Jordan's class are using nonstandard units of measurement to measure insects around the room. Students hunted for insects and measured them using linking cubes.

CRAZY KICKBALL
Ms. Jordan's P.E. classes had a great time and got a lot of exercise playing a game of crazy kickball.

FUTURE TEACHER
High School student, Lillian Halter, visits Mrs. Kight's first-grade class for observations as a part of her Foundations of Teaching class. She reads books to the class and is great at engaging the students. She is going to be a wonderful teacher!

TWENTY DAYS POPCORN PARTY
First-grade students in Ms. Richardson and Ms. Wornick's rooms celebrated 20 days of perfect attendance with a Popcorn Party!

Kindergarten students in Ms. Jones' room enjoyed some time in the sun after all the rainy days of inside recess they had last week.

"C" IS FOR CHALK
Ms. Hall and Ms. Hightower's class are working their way through the alphabet to count down to Summer. For the letter "C", they decorated the sidewalks with chalk drawings.

LIBRARY VISIT
Ms. Hall's first-grade class got a visit from the Garland County Library. Ximena got the chance to help read a story to the class.

FIRST-GRADE PORTFOLIO
First graders are working on their portfolios in Ms. Stallman's art class They will put all of their artwork from the whole year in the next week and take it all home. It's hard to believe we're almost through the school year!

LAUNCHPAD COMPLETE
Mrs. Kirby and Mrs. Jessie's PreK Class completed their Launchpad curriculum. Launchpad is an introduction to the world of literacy and reading through an interactive program. The skills that are taught will lay the foundation for reading all through elementary school.

JUMP ROPE FUN
Students in Ms. Jordan's P.E. Class are learning how to jump a stationary rope and a single jump rope. So much fun!

LHPS TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to Ms. Halie Brakefield for being selected as the Lake Hamilton Primary School Teacher of the Year! Ms. Brakefield is the librarian at the Primary School and does a great job of sharing her love of reading with students, staff, and parents.

CVC WORD PRACTICE
Kindergarten students in Ms. Mahan's class are segmenting and blending letter sounds together to read CVC words. Then they find a picture to match the word they just read.









GLOW PARTY
Mrs. Bledsoe's kindergarten class celebrated with a glow party for all of their class reaching benchmark scores on iStation end-of-year tests in reading, math, or both.
