The Lake Hamilton School District is always watching the weather. In case winter weather causes the school to close or delay, the information below shares how the LHSD will communicate the closing or delay with the public. School officials test road conditions and consider weather forecasts before making the decision to delay or cancel school. The safety and security of Lake Hamilton School District students and staff is always the first priority during inclement weather.
As soon as the decision to close the school is made, the district will immediately share the closing information in the following ways:
- Mass text notification system to all students and staff
- District social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- District website (lhwolves.net)
- Mass email through Wolf Week News subscription {https://lhsd.info/WolfWeekNewsSubscribe}
If the decision to close is made the night prior (before 8:30 p.m.), an automated mass phone call will be sent that night.
If the decision to close is made after 8:30 p.m., the automated mass phone call will be sent at 6:00 a.m.
Here are a few tips that you can do right now to ensure you receive messages from the LHSD:
1. Make sure the primary contact phone number for your student is correct. If you've not received mass text notifications from the LHSD this year, please contact your child's office to update your number.
