October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All students, staff, and community members are being encouraged to wear PINK on Friday, October 7, as we raise awareness during #WolfFanFriday!

LHJH PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
The Lake Hamilton Junior High Parent Teacher Conferences are on Tuesday, October 11th, and Thursday, October 13th, from 3:30-6:30. Conferences will be in the LHJH cafeteria. Parents unable to attend in person may reach out to their child's teachers to set up a conference by telephone, email, or virtually.

ELEMENT SCAVENGER HUNT
Students in Ms. Jackson's physical science completed an element scavenger hunt. The students had to identify the numbers of protons , neutrons, electrons and valance electrons. The students had to use the information to identify the mystery elements.

LHJH 8TH-GRADE HEALTH SCREENINGS
The Junior High will have 8th-grade health screenings on Tuesday, September 20th. Please make sure your 8th grader attends school on this day. Also, if students wear glasses or contact lenses they will need to wear them for the screening.

Students don't forget picture day is tomorrow. Thursday, September 15th. All students will be photographed for the yearbook. COLLEGE TRADE EXPO
Parents/guardians and students are invited to Lake Hamilton High School to visit over 20 colleges, trade schools, and military representatives on September 13th from 6:00-8:00 PM. This is even is open to 8th-12th grade students and their families. Come join us and see what there is to offer your future!

LHJH SCIENTIFIC QUESTION
Junior high administrators took part in a summative lab with ninth grade physical science students. Students demonstrated their knowledge of scientific inquiry skills by designing a procedure, conducting the experiment, setting up tables and graphs to record data and writing a detailed conclusion. The scientific question: Do double-stuffed Oreos really have double the stuff?
