meaningful access grant

Lake Hamilton Junior High is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Meaningful Access Grant by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education-Office of Special Education. This prestigious grant, following a rigorous review process, will enable the school to participate in the Meaningful Access Project for the 2024-25 academic year.

The Meaningful Access Project focuses on implementing effective practices to ensure that students who are eligible for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), as well as other struggling learners, have meaningful access to core instruction. Central to this initiative is the establishment of a tiered system of interventions aimed at addressing and bridging gaps in student learning.

The project is dedicated to fostering a unified and collaborative educational environment where students with disabilities are fully integrated into the general education framework. Lake Hamilton Junior High will act as a working laboratory for the Meaningful Access Project, engaging in action research and disseminating best practices to schools across the state.

This project provides comprehensive training and coaching, emphasizing the creation of an inclusive system where students with disabilities receive the support they need, guided by data-driven insights.
