The Lake Hamilton School District received approval from the Arkansas Department of Secondary and Elementary Education (DESE) and the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) for an in-person senior celebration graduation ceremony. The event will be held at Lake Hamilton Wolf Stadium on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
This is a ticketed event. Due to social distancing guidelines and seating restrictions, each graduate will be allowed up to six guests. A ticket sheet has been printed for each graduate granting access for up to six guests. Ticket sheets may be picked up at the high school office lobby Mondays - Thursdays leading up the event between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All six guests associated with each ticket sheet must enter the facility at the same time and be seated together. This is to ensure that seating restrictions are followed as indicated on the plan approved by DESE and ADH.
Gates will open at the HOME and VISITOR bleachers for spectators at 8:30 a.m. Guests must sit in designated areas only and will be directed by school personnel. School and safety personnel will be placed throughout the stadium to ensure smooth operations.
Face coverings will be required for entrance for all persons present, except for children under 10 years of age. Face coverings must be worn at all times.
An index card will be attached to each ticket sheet. Students should bring the index card they received with this ticket sheet, arrive at the Lake Hamilton Junior High tarmac at 9:40 a.m. and report directly to their assigned number position (as listed on the index card). Students must wear a face covering and should arrive in their cap and gown. Students must maintain a 6-foot social distance from others at all times.
At 9:55 a.m., students will walk from the Lake Hamilton Junior High tarmac, down Class of 2020 Drive, and enter through the south entrance from Wolf Arena into Lake Hamilton Wolf Stadium.
Students will sit on the turf area and will be seated a minimum of 6 feet away from the nearest student.
During the ceremony, each graduate will approach the stage and receive a medallion. After receiving their medallion, each graduate will exit the stage, have their picture taken by Lifetouch, and return to their seat.
After the graduation ceremony is concluded, graduates will be required to exit Wolf Stadium through the south entrance to Wolf Arena. All spectators will be asked to immediately exit Wolf Stadium through the same gates they entered. Congregating before or after the ceremony on school property will be prohibited.
The event will be live-streamed on Lake Hamilton Live for those unable to attend.
