Dear Lake Hamilton High School Parents & Guardians,
As we move into the final stretch of the school year, things are picking up speed on campus. Our winter sports—basketball, wrestling, swim & dive, and bowling—are wrapping up their seasons, and we couldn’t be prouder of our student-athletes and their hard work. At the same time, spring sports and fine arts departments are gearing up and getting into full swing. Alongside them, our CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organizations) groups are preparing for their upcoming conferences, making this a busy but exciting time for our students.
On top of these activities, we are also entering an important academic period with state testing just around the corner. Please take note of the following key dates:
Tuesday, March 11th – All 10th and 11th grade students will take the ACT, unless they have opted out. Our 12th graders will be taking the second round of the ACT WorkKeys test on this day.
Tuesday, March 18th – Scheduling Day for 10th & 11th graders. Be on the lookout for your child’s scheduled appointment time to ensure they are placed in the right courses and that their Student Success Plan is reviewed and signed.
Thursday, March 20th – Parent-Teacher Conferences – A great opportunity to check in on your student’s progress.
Friday, March 21st – Inclement Weather Day Make up Day (School is in Session).
March 24th - 28th – Spring Break
For the scheduling conference, these will take place in the advisory teacher’s classroom on March 18th, students and parents will need to enter through the front doors of the high school. For parent conferences on March 20th, those will take place in the cafeteria and parents can enter through the front doors or the back doors through the cafeteria.
With so much happening, the next few months will fly by. We appreciate your continued support in helping our students stay focused and engaged during this busy time. If you have any questions or need additional information, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for being such an important part of our school community.
