Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying a return to routine. It was great to finally have five consecutive days of school this week. The weather-related disruptions have certainly been challenging, and we appreciate your patience and flexibility. As a reminder, due to those short weeks earlier this year, we now have school scheduled for Monday, February 17th. Please mark your calendars to ensure attendance.
ACT Opt-Out for 10th and 11th Grade Parents: Parents of 10th and 11th graders, please remember that the free ACT will be administered on Monday, March 11th. If you do not wish for your child to participate in this opportunity, please submit the ACT opt-out form to Mrs. Karm by February 7th. The form is located in the counseling center if your student needs one. This is a great opportunity for students to take the ACT at no cost and during the school day, so we encourage participation unless there are specific circumstances that prevent it.
Spring ATLAS Interim Testing for 10th Graders: For our 10th-grade students, the spring ATLAS Interim Testing is scheduled on the following dates:
February 4th - Reading
February 11th - Geometry
February 18th - Biology
February 27th - Writing
Please ensure your child is present and prepared for these important assessments.
Senior Parent Meeting Follow-Up: Thank you to all the senior parents who were able to attend the meeting on January 24th. Your involvement and support are invaluable as we navigate this exciting final semester for our seniors. For those who could not attend or for anyone needing a refresher, all the information shared is available on our Senior Central webpage. Click here to visit the site.
Celebrating Senior Achievements: If your senior is receiving an award or scholarship, please let myself or Mrs. Britt know. We will do our best to ensure someone from the school is present to celebrate and recognize their achievement. Your child’s success is a reflection of their hard work, and we are honored to share in these special moments.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and engagement in your child’s education. We look forward to a productive and uninterrupted February! Should you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out.
