november info

Dear 10th-12th Grade Parents,

I hope this message finds you well as we enter the busy month of November! With just 6 weeks left in the semester, now is a great time to encourage your student to stay focused and finish strong.  I hope you were able to visit with your child’s teachers during Parent/Teacher Conferences for feedback on how your child is progressing.  Please know if you didn’t, that feedback is only a phone call or email away.  Fall semester tests will be on December 16th, 17th and 18th.  With make-ups on December 19th and 20th.

Thanksgiving Break is coming up quickly, and we want to remind everyone that school will be closed from November 25th through November 29th. We hope you all enjoy this time to relax with family and friends.

For Senior parents, please ensure that cap and gown orders have been placed and you understand the process to pay for them. These are essential for graduation and we don’t want anyone to miss out due to an oversight.  Just a reminder that graduation is May 16th.  It will be here quickly.

We are seeking input from Junior and Sophomore parents regarding your child’s academic options for next year. Please take a moment to complete a brief one-question survey about your preference for your child enrolling in an AP class (graded on a 5.0 GPA scale) or a college concurrent credit class (graded on a 4.0 scale). Your feedback will help us better understand your priorities and guide our planning for next year’s course offerings. Thank you for your time and input!  The link for the survey can be found here.

Last week, we conducted a school lockdown drill to ensure that both students and staff are well-prepared in the event of an emergency. These drills are a critical part of maintaining the safety and security of everyone on campus. They help us practice how to respond quickly and calmly in various scenarios while ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. While we hope to never encounter a real emergency, having these drills in place ensures we are ready to act if the need arises. Safety remains our top priority.

10th grade parents you are able to see your child's fall ATLAS interim testing results.  This will cover all students who are taking 10th Grade English, Geometry, and Biology.  Please remember that these results are related to where your child should be by the end of the year.

As we move into the Winter season, we are wrapping up several Fall sports (volleyball, golf, tennis, cross country and football) and kicking off winter sports (basketball, wrestling, bowling, and swimming). Be sure to check our schedule for events and come out to support our student-athletes as they represent our school.

If you have any questions or need assistance feel free to reach out to us. Let’s make these final weeks of the semester count!
