The Lake Hamilton School District Board of Education approved the hiring of Jason Selig as the next 6th-12th grade director of instruction during their board meeting on Monday, March 17, 2025. Selig, who currently serves as the 8th-9th grade junior high principal, brings nearly two decades of leadership, instructional development, and educational administration experience to his new role.

Selig has a strong background in advancing student achievement through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and instructional leadership. Under his leadership, Lake Hamilton Junior High earned the Highly Effective Schools Accreditation and High Reliability Schools Level 1 and 2 certifications, recognizing the school's commitment to a safe, collaborative culture and effective teaching practices in every classroom. He also successfully applied for and secured the Meaningful Access Grant to promote inclusive learning practices.

A dedicated educator, Selig has served as a principal, assistant principal, and dean of students at multiple schools, including Oaklawn Visual & Performing Arts Magnet School in Hot Springs. His impact on school improvement was evident as he led two different schools to Model PLC Distinction, demonstrating his ability to foster academic excellence and teacher development.

Beyond Lake Hamilton, Selig has been actively involved in statewide education leadership, serving as a board member for the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators and holding leadership roles within the Arkansas Association of Secondary School Principals.
