The Lake Hamilton School District is proud to announce that four students from Lake Hamilton High School were recognized among the top participants in the 2024 Congressional App Challenge, hosted by Congressman Bruce Westerman.
The Congressional App Challenge invites high school students nationwide to showcase their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) knowledge and skills by designing and developing their own apps. This year’s competition featured 24 submissions from 71 students across Arkansas’ Fourth District, with winners announced during a reception in Hot Springs.
Lake Hamilton High School students Destinee Reed, Hannah Askew, Aubrey Avaritt, and Alantis Purifoy earned Fourth Place for their app, "Relaxation in Paradise." Their achievement highlights the exceptional talent and dedication of our students in advancing STEM education and innovation.
Congressman Westerman shared his admiration for the students, stating, "Seeing the talent showcased by all participants of this year’s Congressional App Challenge was immensely encouraging. The ingenuity and creativity displayed in our youth is inspiring. Congratulations to all participants—our future is bright because of students like these."
The Lake Hamilton School District congratulates our students on this outstanding achievement and celebrates their innovation and hard work. We are #PackProud of our Wolves!
